Veneta is also home to the Wings and Wine Festival in May, and the Oregon Country Fair in August, which draws thousands of people from all around Oregon and beyond.

Elmira is a small neighboring community sharing the same great access to local recreation and area schools. Elmira and Veneta are both part of the Fern Ridge School District, which is a 4-A school district with elementary schools in both communities, and a middle school and high school in Elmira.
